Who we are
Amazonia (hello@amazonia.shop) operates amazonia.shop, a collection of curated product guides. Reach us any time at hello@amazonia.shop.
What we collect, and why
- Email address — only if you choose to confirm one to rate products. Basis: your consent.
- Marketing consent — a yes/no flag and the time you gave it, only if you tick the optional box. We use double opt-in (you must click a link in an email to confirm).
- Your product ratings — the star rating you submit, tied to your email so you get one vote per product.
- IP address — used transiently for rate-limiting and anti-abuse, not used to profile you.
- A login cookie — a signed, HttpOnly cookie so you don't have to confirm your email on every visit. No third-party tracking cookies.
We send transactional email (your confirmation link). If you opted in, we may also send occasional updates about new picks. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe and our postal address, and we honor opt-outs immediately. Confirming an email never opts you into marketing — that's a separate, optional choice.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe any time via the link in any marketing email, or by emailing us. You can ask us to access or delete all data tied to your email — just email hello@amazonia.shop and we'll remove it. If you're in the EU/UK or California, these rights are guaranteed under the GDPR/UK GDPR and CCPA.
Who we share with
We don't sell your data. We use a few processors to run the site: Resend (sends our email), Cloudflare (hosting + the database holding your email/ratings), and Amazon (our affiliate links — when you click through and buy, Amazon may earn us a commission and applies its own privacy policy).
Retention
We keep your email and ratings until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe and request removal. Rate-limit data expires automatically within hours.
Changes
We'll update this page and the effective date if anything material changes.
