A completely different answer to "Rest" than a foam mattress: instead of cushioning your dog in warm memory foam, the Coolaroo suspends them a few inches off the ground on taut, breathable HDPE fabric so air moves underneath and heat wicks away. That makes it the pick for hot climates, heavy panters and droolers, and dogs that track in mud, because you rinse it with a hose instead of wrestling a foam cover into the wash. The trade-off is honest: it distributes weight and lifts your dog off a cold, hard floor, but it does not deliver the deep joint cushioning of thick orthopedic foam, so a severely arthritic dog is usually better served by the FurHaven or a premium Big Barker.
