No pump, no batteries, no app. Two honest caveats keep this from being magic. First, it's genuinely automation, not decoration: you prime the cone, run tubing, and set the reservoir higher than the pot so gravity feeds it, then keep it topped up. Second — and this matters — it's built to keep soil evenly moist, which is exactly wrong for succulents and cacti, which must dry out fully or they rot.
