The PocketRocket 2 is the default answer to 'what's the best backpacking stove for most people.' At 2.6 ounces it disappears in a pack, threads onto any standard isobutane-propane canister, and delivers a genuine simmer that integrated systems like Jetboil struggle to match. It gives up some efficiency and boil speed to an integrated system and can't touch a liquid-fuel stove in deep cold, but for three-season backpacking it's the value benchmark.
